InvestmentNews has recognized Apriem Advisors as a 2019 Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Awards finalist. Apriem, along with other finalists, were chosen from over 160 nominations by a committee of InvestmentNews representatives and judges from the advice business to be recognized for the firm’s ability to inspire others from diverse backgrounds to join, flourish and bring their true selves to work in the financial services industry.

The second annual Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion recognition program aims to tell the story of individuals and firms using their success, leadership skills, and willingness to implement and advocate for diversity and inclusion within the financial advisory industry. Apriem is a finalist in the ‘Outstanding Practices’, a category that honors businesses that foster diversity internally and recognize the importance of embracing a diverse clientele. Below is an excerpt:

“The initiatives showcased by these honored firms serve as examples of what businesses within the financial advice industry should be striving for when it comes to creating a diverse and inclusive culture,” said Frederick P. Gabriel, editorial director of InvestmentNews.

Disclosure: InvestmentNews received hundreds of nominations for our 2019 awards. Advisory firm awards honor registered investment advisory firms, independent broker-dealer affiliates, or branch offices of a wirehouse, insurance firm, or brokerage, that have fostered diversity and inclusion within their own firms, among clients (especially those who have been traditionally ignored by financial service professionals), or within the financial advice industry as a whole. Apriem did not pay InvestmentNews a fee to participate in the award.
