Summer is accompanied by a lot of positive things. Warm nights spent on the patio eating barbeque with friends and family. No more mornings spent blasting the defroster and seat heater. Ice cream being acceptable at every meal. Here at Apriem Advisors, summer also means the addition of highly skilled interns to the office.
Our internship offers a unique experience where college students are fully immersed in the various departments of Apriem. It is a highly competitive, paid internship for college juniors and seniors to find out firsthand if wealth management is a viable career path. The internship places an emphasis on learning about the department and then performing work utilizing the knowledge learned. Our interns leave with a deep understanding of how to build personal wealth, become comfortable with various investment markets and learn how to create a world-class client experience.
This summer, we had the privilege of having twin sisters Jacqueline and Rachel Taeubel join us. They are both going into their junior year at Boston College where they are part of the crew team. They brought a strong work-ethic, a desire to learn, and an ability to understand and retain complex subjects. See below for some of their key takeaways:
Rachel: “The Apriem internship is truly a learning experience and has given me intellectual knowledge and practical skills I feel confident in using throughout the rest of my education and career.”
Jacqueline: “As a college student, the idea of personal finance and planning for my future was always somewhat intimidating; however, working in the financial planning department has eased my fears by showing me that planning early can provide stability in the long-run.”
