Over the past 20 years, Apriem Advisors has met with hundreds of women to provide financial information and guidance through various events.

These are women who came to a meeting with their spouse, women who have lost a spouse due to death or divorce, and women that manage their finances independently.  We noticed that the majority of these women are asking to learn more about the financial industry and understand their investments in more detail.  Even if they aren’t asking, they have a desire to know more.

Statistics show that only 20% of women consider themselves well-prepared for retirement vs. 37% of men.  However, women hold 51.3% of personal wealth in the US.  Lastly, we know that 90% of American women will find themselves the sole keepers of their personal finances at some point during their lives.  Clearly these statistics demonstrate there is a need to support our women clients in making them confident to navigate the financial world.

WOW

In 2014, we kicked off the year introducing a program called Women of Wisdom but chose the name mainly because the abbreviation, WOW.  We wanted to WOW our women clients and their friends with a year of education and programs that would be foremost educational but also would not seem intimidating or boring.  We also had the desire to create a fun atmosphere and allow women who were a part of WOW to be with other women with the same concerns and level of understanding in community.  It was a very successful year from the positive feedback we received.  Due to this feedback, we have designed a full calendar for 2015. Some programs to highlight are the Economic Updates, Medicare and Social Security, Investments and Budgeting classes.

We look forward to serving you through WOW this year and beyond.  We welcome your attendance.  Events are limited to space so please RSVP once you receive the invitation.  To check and RSVP to upcoming events, please visit our WOW page.
